1958 Chet began his career coming to this area from Lost City, West
Virginia after having served in the US Army. He installed windows and
doors for Eagle Engineering Company.
1962 Chet established a sub-contracting business and began installing
products for Sears, Hechingers, S. Kann Company and many other local
home improvement companies.
1969 Chet started working for Medallion Industries of Bowie, MD. He
managed the Window and Door Division and was responsible for all
sub-contractors and material ordering.
1972 Chet was promoted to the Vice President of Sales and Management
for Medallion Industries.
1977 Chet purchased the Window and Door Division from Medallion
Industries and created Stewart Window Service. He located his offices
in the Priest Bridge Industrial Center in Crofton, MD.
1984 Having outgrown the space in Crofton, Chet moved his offices and
window shop to its present location in Davidsonville, MD, where it
continues to flourish.
1987 Chet expanded his line of services from windows and doors to
include siding, vinyl trim, gutters and roofing. To better reflect the
growth of the company, the name was changed to Stewart Window & Siding.
1990 As Stewart Window & Siding continued to grow, Chet added
remodeling to his list of services available and hired expert
carpenters.
1992 Chet welcomed to his team of experts, the talents of a local
contractor, who directed the design and build construction department,
which allowed Stewart Window & Siding to expand into light
construction.
1998 Continuing to grow and prosper, Stewart Window & Siding employed
the services of an expert General Manager, whose knowledge and design
ability has enabled the company to branch out into larger construction
projects. Again to better reflect the growth in the line of services we
were able to offer, the name was changed to Stewart Enterprises llc.
2004 Stewart Enterprises is now able to handle any construction project
from the replacement of one window to new home construction. We have
entered the 21st Century with the capabilities to satisfy any
construction project.
